Choose the correct size sleeve for the pilot shaft, then add a small sandpaper disc and "square" your "turned-to-size" pen blank. You can use your lathe scroll chuck with pinjaws or #1 jaws OR you can use a Jacobs chuck in the lathe or a hand power drill.
