Sparkle is a composite material based on aluminum chips and ribbons encapsulated in translucent epoxy resins. The appearance seen on the surface continues throughout the block with no two pen blanks being the same. And with a slightly changing pattern as one works into the blank. The result has unique textures with the contrast between the light metal pieces and the deep colored semi-transparent resin.

Raffir is suitable for various fine crafts and luxury products. It is already very popular as a knife handle material and in jewelry. This material is recommended for any small or medium scale product, in which aesthetics and uniqueness are important factors. This material is easily machined with normal tools for wood or plastic. A beautiful high-gloss finish can be obtained with polishing. As the resin is transparent, we suggest reverse painting the inside of the blank and a top finish coat such as Gluboost

This acrylic is fairly dense, and sharp tools and a light touch is suggested. Turning experience is also suggested.
