Raffir Heatwave Spikey Pen Blanks - Green #4016-4019HW

Heatwave Sparkle is a composite material based on aluminum shavings encapsulated in brilliant Heat sensitive resins. The blanks in the photo show the upper part of the blank at normal summer temps (over 82F, 28C), the lower was dipped in ice water for a few seconds - to show the range of color. Very cool effect, and can result in a completely different looking pen depending on the temperature.

Raffir is suitable for various fine crafts and luxury products. It is already very popular as a knife handle material and in jewelry. Now, Exotics brings this unique and beautiful material to you for your high-end and unique pen creations. This material is recommended for any small or medium scale product, in which aesthetics and uniqueness are important factors. This material is easily machined with normal tools for wood or plastic. A beautiful high-gloss finish can be obtained with polishing. As the resin is transparent, we suggest reverse painting the inside of the blank and a top finish coat such as Gluboost

This acrylic is fairly dense, and sharp tools and a light touch is suggested. Turning experience is also suggested.
