Raffir Alume Wave Pen Blanks - Green Wave #124-126W
Waves is a composite material made with aluminum meshes encapsulated in a translucent epoxy resin. The material has unique three-dimensional textures with contrasts between satin light grey aluminum and deep colored semi-transparent resin.
Raffir is suitable for various fine crafts and luxury products. It is already very popular as a knife handle material and in jewelry. Now, Exotics brings this unique and beautiful material to you for your high-end and unique pen creations. This material is recommended for any small or medium scale product, in which aesthetics and uniqueness are important factors. This material is easily machined with normal tools for wood or plastic. A beautiful high-gloss finish can be obtained with polishing. As the resin is transparent, we suggest reverse painting the inside of the blank and a top finish coat such as Gluboost
This acrylic is fairly dense, and sharp tools and a light touch is suggested. Turning experience is also suggested.
