SPW Pioneer CLICK Pen Kit - Chrome & Black Chrome - D41
SPW Pioneer CLICK Pen Kit
Build the click pen that can survive being dropped on concrete — and still clicks perfectly when you pick it up. The SPW Pioneer CLICK Pen Kit from Smitty's Pen Works brings an exceptionally rugged click mechanism to the Pioneer series. Unlike most click kits where a single drop can destroy the plunger, the Pioneer CLICK's mechanism has been intentionally drop-tested on concrete over a dozen times, landing directly on the click button — and it clicks flawlessly every time.
What truly sets the Pioneer CLICK apart is how it handles impact. Every other click mechanism Smitty tested has failed from a concrete drop — this one hasn't. It's the EDC pen kit for turners who want a click pen they can actually trust in a tool belt, a work bag, or a truck cab. The Pioneer CLICK uses the same Sierra-style bushings as the rest of the Pioneer series, so setup is familiar if you've built a Sierra before. The two-tone Chrome and Black Chrome finish gives it a clean, modern look that stands out without being flashy.
Features
Rugged, concrete-tested click mechanism: The designer has intentionally dropped this pen on its plunger button on concrete a dozen times — it still clicks flawlessly. No other click kit tested has survived this.
Chrome & Black Chrome two-tone finish: Modern, industrial contrast that works with dark woods, carbon fiber blanks, and black acrylics
Sierra-style bushings: Uses standard Sierra 20A bushings — familiar tooling for anyone who's built a Sierra, Zodiac, or Ellipse kit
Precise tube dimensions: OD .410", Length exactly 2.16" — the tube length is critical for proper mechanism operation; do not substitute a different tube
Mix & Match compatible: Part of the SPW Pioneer series — mix and match with any other single pen kits for the best pricing

Why Turners Love This Kit
The concrete-drop story sells the pen before the customer even picks it up — "this mechanism has been dropped on concrete a dozen times and still clicks" is a line that sticks
The two-tone Chrome and Black Chrome hardware is sharp and modern — it stands out on the table without being over-designed
Sierra-style bushings mean no new tooling investment — if you already turn Sierras, you're ready to build this one today
Built for EDC and daily carry — a pen that can take abuse and keep writing is the kind of thing customers come back to buy a second time
