Poly Resin machines beautifully but is slightly more brittle than acrylic acetate or Alumilite, so proper technique will produce the best results.

• Use sharp carbide or high-speed steel tools
• Take light, controlled cuts
• Proper cutting produces continuous ribbons, not chips
• If minor pitting develops, stop before final dimension and sand it away
• Fill deeper pits with thick CA glue, then turn flush before final sanding

For the highest polish:

• Sand progressively through 600 grit
• Continue through the Micro-Mesh polishing system or a quality plastic polishing kit
• Many turners prefer wet sanding synthetic materials
• Finish with a plastic polish for a stunning mirror-like shine
• No friction finish is required
