Turkey Hunter Pen Blanks by John U

Celebrate the tradition, patience, and excitement of spring and fall turkey hunting with the Turkey Hunter Pen Blanks by John U. Featuring a beautifully detailed woodland hunting scene with a magnificent wild turkey in full strut, this blank captures the unmistakable atmosphere of pursuing one of North America's most challenging game birds.

The wraparound artwork brings together classic elements of the turkey hunting experience, including wild turkeys, wooded habitat, a shotgun, binoculars, shotgun shells, and a turkey call. Warm shades of gold, brown, amber, green, and blue create a rich outdoor scene that looks especially impressive beneath the crystal-clear resin.

Each blank is cast in the round and comes pre-tubed for Sierra-style pen kits, eliminating drilling and tube-gluing while helping make the turning process straightforward. As the blank is turned and polished, the clear resin develops a brilliant, glass-like finish that enhances the depth and detail of the hunting artwork underneath.

Whether you're creating a pen for a dedicated turkey hunter, celebrating a memorable hunt, or adding another outdoor-themed project to your craft show selection, the Turkey Hunter Pen Blank turns into a distinctive handmade writing instrument with plenty of character.

• Use sharp turning tools and light, controlled cuts.

• Take increasingly lighter cuts as you approach the finished diameter.

• Avoid over-turning to preserve the clear resin layer protecting the artwork.

• Sand progressively with fine abrasives or your preferred wet-sanding system.

• Polish with a quality acrylic or plastic polishing system for a deep, glass-like shine.

• Check the diameter frequently as you approach the bushings to help protect the detailed artwork.
