Turning Recommendations

These blanks are manufactured from polyacrylic resin, which is slightly more brittle than Alumilite or AA Acrylic resin. While they machine beautifully, they can be more prone to chipping if aggressive cuts are used.

For best results we recommend:

• Use sharp carbide or HSS tools
• Take light finishing cuts
• Sand progressively through the grits
• Polish with your favorite plastic polishing system
• Paint the brass tube or reverse-paint the drilled hole to maximize color vibrancy and eliminate show-through

Some turning experience is recommended for the best results.
