Biohazard Rotacrylic Pen Blank
Biohazard Rotacrylic Pen Blanks.
Biohazard Sign Rotacrylic Blank. This Biohazard sign was developed by Charles Baldwin of the Dow Chemical Company in 1966 in order to label (Dow's) biomaterials that might carry a significant health risk. It has since become a universally adopted sign...and a good way to warn your co-workers to keep their fingers off of your handmade pen!
This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was re-cast, in resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.
The blank will fit a mid-size pen (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc) Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the white sanding dust and CA or epoxy. Painted tubes are recommended.
Dark blue biohazard sign, with lime, with a swirl of coral rose and white.
