The drip tray and spike hold the candle and protect the turned candlestick holders and surfaces from wax candle damage. This kit includes a decorative weighted base and brass tube. This is an easy-to-turn kit! You will need a pen blank of your choice, a 11/32" drill bit, and bushings. Drill & turn the blank (to your design) Press fit in the two couplers into the tube (ribbed end goes into the tube); add the weight to the plated base. Put the lower coupler onto the lower decorative chrome piece and tighten it. Screw in the drip tray with the spike to the top coupler. Add a candle and admire! (The included small nut is not needed)
