The Small Carver Mallet Kit is a premium kit made right here in the USA. Each kit comes with (1) Small Brass Head, OR 16oz Large Head (1) a Stainless Set-screw, and (1) of our Brass Inserts.

The Small Solid  Brass head is 1-1/4″ dia x 1-7/8″ long. It weighs in at 10 oz. This weight is before set the screw, insert, and handle.  The stainless set screw is 3/8″-16 x 2″ long.

The large Solid Brass Head id larger and weighs in at an incredible16oz 

What is a carver mallet used for?
This tool is specifically designed for driving gouges. It is also great for finessing a bench chisel where precision is needed. This tool is designed to be held by the head or the handle.

We recommend the Universal Mandrel with the optional 1" Carver's Mallet bushing.
