Granadillo, an exotic hardwood, is highly sought after in South America for instrument making due to its rich tones of red, brown, black, and occasional violet. It is often called Mexican Rosewood and is known for its superior gluing capabilities and easy workability compared to Cocobolo. Its dense, straight composition and closed-grain structure make it a popular choice for various uses. While it is not a true Rosewood, Granadillo, scientifically classified as Platymiscium yucatanum.

These Spindles are two-tone, with both heart and sapwood. The amount of each will vary from piece to piece.
