John's Cherry Pit Pen Blanks - Red

Another very unique and fun creation from John U! These blanks are made from real Michigan cherry pits that have been cleaned and then cast in translucent Alumilite resin. Very fun! These blanks are a real conversation starter. Just the thing for shows or for that person who has everything. 

These cherry pit blanks will also make other great items. Like maybe a corkscrew handle for that cherry wine -  Don't limit yourself to only pens with these blanks - let your imagination run cherry wild! Have fun!

Turning Tips - Painted tubes and reverse painting these blanks are highly recommended as the resin is very transparent. Turning will require light cuts and sharp tools. These blanks can have some voids in them as it is nearly impossible to get the resin to penetrate completely through the pits.  We suggest filling any gaps with colored epoxy. A top finish (like CA) is also recommended.
