Phoenix Rotacrylic Pen Blanks
Description
Phoenix Rotacrylic Pen Blanks
Often, ancient societies have their own unique set of myths, tales, and legends, but every so often one will transcend cultures. One example that outshines all others is the legend of the Phoenix. Variants of the Phoenix legend appear across the globe in several European, Central American, Egyptian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Asian, and Middle Eastern cultures. Over the centuries and over the miles writers and poets have mentioned this magical eternal firebird in their work, songs have been sung, and even gleaming cities named in its honor.
But perhaps the reason the story of the Phoenix resonates strongly with us, across the ages and across so many diverse cultures, is because it is that of the human story. This beautiful tale speaks not only of renewal and of transformation, but perhaps most importantly, tells us that life itself never really dies.
This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was re-cast, in resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.
The blank will fit a mid-size pen (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc) Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the white sanding dust and CA or epoxy.
Painted tubes are recommended.
