Description
This new Faux-stone pen blank in primary colors is an affordable alternative to real stone blanks. The combination of dyed powdered stone and acrylic resins creates a dense, high-quality composite with eye-catching bands of bright colors and white.
It is recommended for experienced turners who have sharp tools ready to handle its density. You can use roughing gouges, skew, or carbide tools, as shown in our instructional video. Due to its porous nature, a thin CA finish is recommended, followed by sanding with 600 grit and polishing for a glossy finish.
Blanks are approx a light 3/4" sq x 5" long
