Purpleheart Pen Blanks

When freshly cut, the heartwood of purpleheart may appear dull grayish/purplish brown. However, within just a few days of exposure, it transforms into a deeper eggplant purple, making it an incredibly eye-catching material. 

Not only that, but purpleheart is also known for its remarkable strength and durability, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications. Over time and exposure to UV light, the wood darkens into a brownish-purple shade, but to slow down this color shift, a UV inhibiting finish can be applied.
