Red Palm Pen Blanks - 10 Pack

Red Palm is actually a grass, related to bamboo. It is similar to Black Palm but has reddish-brown fibers embedded in a lighter tan or light brown colored body. Grain is very straight, and contains no growth rings, knots, or defects. Turning can be a bit tricky as the harder fibers contrast with the softer body of the wood. Applying a hardener or sanding sealer prior is recommended as are sharp tools. But the end result is worth it!
