Catalpa is a seldom-seen open grain, lightweight domestic hardwood. The genus gets its name from the Catawba Indian tribe’s name for the tree, (the tribe itself is also named after the tree). Catalpa's heartwood can range from a grayish tan to a richer golden brown color and is easily worked.

These blanks are big enough for even the largest pen kits. They are approximately 6" long x 1" square and are sold individually. As with all-natural items, please expect some variation.
