Description

New From Masterscoller! Tiki masks are hand-carved wooden masks that, in their original intent, were used to stand in for Polynesian and Hawaiian deities, protect their users from evil spirits or even increase the wearers’ strength, fertility or luck. These days the masks have gained huge popularity in decor, and as a reminder of that wonderful island visit! The coppery brown mask is set against a beautiful sky blue and pearl backdrop.

This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, including thousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was re cast, in white resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.

The blank is recommended for a larger size pen. Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the white sanding dust and CA or epoxy. Painted tubes, and drilling on the lathe are both recommended.
