Wyvern Dragon Rotacrylic Pen Blank
Description
Wyvern Dragon Rotacrylic Pen Blanks
In heraldry, the Wyvern Dragon (often spelled Wivern back then), is the dragon from European legends. Frequently those European families with long histories and family crests depicting a dragon on them, have a legend of some family member slaying one of the Wyvern Dragons. A bit rarer, this is a serpent version.
This amazing piece of workmanship involved many hours of design cutting on a CNC, includingthousands of lines of code. Once cut, the upper blank was re-cast, in resin. The matching blank for the other barrel has no image.
The pen blank will fit a mid-size pen (Jr Gent II/Jr Statesman/Triton etc). Because of the double casting and the intricate design, there is a chance of encountering a small bubble. If you do, it can easily be filled with some of the white sanding dust and CA or epoxy. These pen blanks have been precision cut on a computer-controlled multi-axis CNC. The image depth on the blank does not vary. But you need to drill straight and in the center of the blank (there are two pilot holes started for you) or the image on the blank will be off-center and will turn away as you turn the blank down. Please refer to the provided instructions.
Painted tubes are recommended. This Dragon is dark antique silver color and is set in white resin, swirled with copper and green.
