Turning Recommendations

These blanks are manufactured from polyacrylic resin, which is slightly more brittle than Alumilite® or AA resin. While they machine beautifully, they can be more prone to chipping if aggressive cuts are used.

For best results we recommend:

• Use sharp carbide or HSS tools
• Take light finishing cuts
• Sand progressively through the grits
• Polish using your favorite plastic polishing system
• Paint the brass tube or reverse-paint the drilled hole to enhance color intensity and eliminate brass show-through

Some turning experience is recommended for best results.
