Tips for Success

Because this is a pre-tubed, cast-in-the-round blank, we recommend treating it a little differently from a standard acrylic pen blank:

• Use very sharp turning tools and light, controlled cuts.

• Take increasingly lighter cuts as you approach the final diameter.

• Do not turn too aggressively—the clear resin protects the printed artwork underneath.

• Check your diameter frequently as you approach the bushings.

• Sand progressively using fine abrasives or your preferred wet-sanding system.

• Polish with a quality acrylic or plastic polish to achieve a deep, glass-like shine.

• For pre-tubed blanks like this, we recommend using a sanding jig rather than a traditional pen mill when squaring or fine-tuning the ends. This helps reduce the chance of damaging the clear casting or artwork.
